Match Preview:

Tottenham Hotspur faces Liverpool in a match of the 9th round of the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur: The home team is holding the 3rd position in the league. They managed to win 17 points after 5 wins, 2 draws and a loss. Tottenham beat Bournemouth last weekend in comfortable fashion, generating a lot of good chances in matches. Also, they got a very good point against Real Madrid in midweek, though they were fortunate to do so. Furthermore, Tottenham has a lot of skills in the attack but their defensive line has performed with great quality having Vertonghen as the star of the team’s defence.

Liverpool: The away team is currently holding the 8th position in the league with 13 points won. After 8 rounds they have 3 wins, 4 draws and a loss. Liverpool drew with Manchester United last weekend but had the better of the chances. Also, they thumped Maribor 7-0 in midweek by showing great performance. However,  Liverpool is going through a hard time in the league and they will enter the match under pressure.

Conclusion: All in all, Tottenham takes on Liverpool in a game neither can really afford to lose. With both teams travelling away in the Champions League on Tuesday, there could be some tired legs come to the end of the game. Spurs have struggled to win home matches this season and despite the away team’s impressive record against top six clubs, Liverpool has found the going tough on the road so far. Therefore, a tight and balanced match with few goals is expected.
