Huddersfield Town – Chelsea

Match Preview:

Huddersfield Town welcomes Chelsea in a match of the 17th round of the Premier League.

Huddersfield Town: After 5 wins, 3 draws and 8 losses, the home team is in the 12th position with 18 points won. Also, the hosts have problems of their own, although a 2-0 win against fellow Premier League promoted club Brighton snapped a four-game losing streak. It came at the right moment as Huddersfield was beginning to get perilously close to the relegation zone. However, the relegation threat is still a possibility, as the 12th placed hosts are just five points above the bottom three.

Chelsea: The away team is currently taking the 3rd position in the league with 32 points won after 10 wins, 2 draws and 4 losses. After a dismal defeat at the weekend at West Ham that made Antonio Conte give up his title hopes. Chelsea, though, is enjoying their trips this season and is second only to City in away points (16 against 24). Furthermore, they have won five out of eight of their away fixtures and the loss at West Ham was the only time they failed to find the net away from home.

Conclusion: Huddersfield will be seeking to follow up on their deserved victory against Brighton last time out, a game in which they created good chances. Chelsea had contrasting fortunes however and seek better here, have been very unlucky to lose to West Ham. With Huddersfield frequently struggling to create high-quality chances, at least one side keeping a clean sheet is put forward as the selection and probably a winner.
