Liverpool welcomes Arsenal at Anfield, in a match for the 3rd round of the Premier League. Neither of these sides will be entirely happy with the way they’ve started this season, especially from a defensive standpoint with Liverpool conceding three at Watford and Arsenal doing the same hosting Leicester on an opening day. However, Liverpool did enough to get past Crystal Palace last weekend, creating a lot of good chances and in the end getting the result they deserve. Their record against the top 7 last season was the best in the league, and more of the same is expected this season. On the other side, Arsenal was beaten by Stoke last time out in a game which they were frustrated throughout. They were unfortunate to come away empty handed but were a long way from their free-flowing selves. With Arsene Wenger’s poor track record in these types of games, the home team should have an advantage. Also, Arsenal scored exactly one goal in four of their five trips to last season’s top six, losing 3-1 at both Stamford Bridge and Anfield, while Liverpool has conceded more than once on only one occasion when hosting top-six sides under Klopp.
