FCSB (Rou) – Sporting (Por)
FCSB welcomes Sporting CP in a 2nd leg match for the UEFA Champions League, after goalless the 1st leg match. FCSB is trying to reach the group stage for the eighth time, and the first since 2013/14. They have made some good signings in the past few weeks who might be valuable in the group stage if FCSB makes a breakthrough. However, their key midfielder and vice-captain Mihai Pintilii won’t be on the team as he was sent off in the first leg.
Also, the home team comes for this event after a win against Juventus by 1-2 in a match that counts for the Romanian championship. On the other side, Sporting are aiming to reach the group stage for the third time in four years as they were unfortunate on last two attempts. They are well aware that a scoring draw will be on their side and we can expect a relatively cautious approach to the game by Portuguese team. It should be noted that the key players of the visiting team are Bas Dost and Bruno Fernandes, and the first player is excellent at finishing and scoring, while the second is the main brain of the offensive process. Anyway, this should be a very balanced match. Yet, Sporting has more technical quality compared to the opponent and it is possible to take advantage of the, a bit weaker, home side.
